NAME CHANGED BY PROBATE COURT

EASIER AND BETTER PROCEDURE THAN LEGISLATIVE ACT

Young Man Married Under Another Name than His Legal One had Name Changed to that Under Which He Married

An unusual case was heard by Judge Watkins in the probate court Tuesday and the name of a young man of twenty-five years was changed from Charles Edward Rezean to Charles Edward Breining. When Rezean was eight years old his father died and he was taken and brought up by Mr. and Mrs. J. Michael Breining. He was known by the name of Breining and was married under that name. His legal name, however, remained Resean until the court changed it.

It is not an uncommon thing for a man to have his name changed by an act of the legislature, but it has not been customary to make application to that effect to the probate court, although the statutes give him full power to change names.
