Ohio Capitalists Got a Franchise from Dundee Last Week
The project for an electric line from Toledo to Ann Arbor is not dead yet. Dundee granted the proposed company a franchise last week. The Dundee Reporter says:
"At the common council meeting Monday evening a franchise was granted for the proposed Toledo and Ann Arbor electric railway. The project was represented by L. S. H. Austin and Congressman Jas. H. Southard, of Toledo, and J. H. Clauss of Fremont, Ohio, head of the famous cutlery company of that city. These gentlemen predict the speedy building and completion of the road; the terms of the franchise granted require the completion of the road and in operation prior to Oct. 1, 1904.
