Of Trying to Pick Pockets in the Crowd Put Up a Fight To Get Away from the Officers But Get the Worst of It. No losses from pickpockets Tuesday have yet been reported to the police. There were four men from Toledo here Tuesday who were under suspicion as being pickpockets and they spent the night in jail. Two of them were arrested by Marshal Kelsey and Deputy Sheriff Gillen and showed fight, but were quickly subdued and handcuffed, then a third fellow struck Gillen a bad clip back of the ear and a fourth fellow butted in. "Fatty" Campion nailed one of them and Markey, who was standing by, knocked the other fellow over. "Doc" Collins got into the turmoil and the four Toledo men were brought to jail. The two men who were first arrested were getting on cars and dropping off as soon as the cars started. They were either drunk or playing drunk and were arraigned before Justice Gibson Wednesday, charged with being drunk and disorderly. They paid a fine and costs of $15.29 each, putting up a diamond ring and a gold watch in the hands of their lawyer.
