FINE PROGRAM AT BAPTIST CHURCH

A very unique Children's Day program was given at the Baptist church Sunday evening. The decorations were exceedingly appropriate to the occasion. The gentle splash of a miniature fountain and the twitter of birds among the flowers and palms produced a very pleasing effect. The greater part of the program was given by the primary class. They showed that they had been drilled very carefully by successful teachers. The two solos by Ruth Whitman and Lucille Galloway were particularly good. The little tots climbed to the platform with a fearlessness that older people sometimes lack.

"The Song of Solomon," a lyric idyl in five acts, was something new, but was a decided success. The part of the principal character in the play was taken by Miss Gertrude Palmer, who deserves great credit for the success of the undertaking.
