Fred Herrmann Was A Witness
Fred Herrman, who was found dead at Crystal Falls, is well known in this city, where much of his life was spent. He was one of the principal witnesses against Ryan and Dennehy in their trial for the murder of Fitzsimmons at Hamburg, and he gave as one of his reasons for leaving this section his fear of trouble arising from his giving testimony. He was working as a hostler for a doctor at Crystal Falls. He was a hard drinker. No details or the manner of his death have yet been revealed here further than told in another column.
