Shocking Tragedy.

Union, Mo., July 16. - Two persons are dead as a result of one of the most shocking crimes ever committed in this vicinity. Joseph Smith, 41 years old, is charged with killing his half brother, John Rhodas, 26, with a shotgun, almost disemboweling him. Mrs. Eliza Rhodas, the 60-year-old mother of the men, lying in the next room, suffering from cancer, sat up at the sound of the shot following the quarrel and dropped back dead.
