V. J. WILLEY DECLINES TO GO TO BLIND INSTITUTION

Will Remain in Ann Arbor and Open X-Ray Laboratory in Henning Block

Vernon J. Willey, instructor of electro therapeutics in the University, whose appointment as superintendent of the new industrial institution for the blind at Saginaw the Argus announced some time ago, has declined the appointment and will remain with the University.

This determination to remain here will be welcome news not only to those with whom Mr. Willey has come in contact in his work at the University and the hospital, but to his many friends in the city as well. Mr. Willey has been with the University but three years as instructor of electro therapeutics and in charge of the X-ray treatments and his work was so well thought of by the faculty and regents that at the last meeting of the board his salary was raised $400.

Mr. Willey announces that about September 1 he will open in the Henning block an X-Ray laboratory fitted with all the best electrical appliances for the treatment of all diseases in which the X-ray is now used. This will be for the benefit of local physicians whose patients do not care to enter the hospitals.

The X-ray is now successfully used in the treatment of skin diseases, skin cancers, etc., and it is for these that Mr. Willey purposes opening his laboratory.
