W. J. CLANCY GETS BIG JOB
SECURES BIGGEST PAVING CONTRACT THIS YEAR
Two Miles of Paving at Port Huron – Work to Begin Next Week
Ex-Ald. Wm. J. Clancy, of this city, was awarded, last week, the contract for two miles of paving in Port Huron.
This is the largest single paving contract to be let in Michigan this year, and the bidding was very close, there being only forty cents difference between Mr. Clancy's bid and that of his next highest competitor.
The pavement is to be of clay brick on a concrete foundation and to have cement filler.
Mr. Clancy has purchased the brick for the job and leaves next week to take charge of the work. He will probably take a large number of Ann Arbor workmen with him to assist in handling the job.
