Blew Out the Gas.

Atlantic City, Aug. 6.––Pearce Thaxton of Millersburg, Ky., aged 20 years, was found dead in bed in his room Wednesday. Deceased registered at a prominent beach front hotel with five friends. When he arrived, two days ago, he told the bellboy of the hotel that this was his first trip away from home, and asked him to show how the gas was used. Tuesday night Thaxton retired early. When he failed to rise in the morning the door of his room was forced open and the young man was found dead in bed. He had evidently blown out the gas.
