Alice, a young daughter of Norman M. Stark, living at 720 S. State street, met with a painful accident about noon Tuesday. She was coasting down State street hill with her sister on wheels and when near the bottom of the hill lost her balance in some way and was thrown violently to the ground. She struck on ehr right side and was badly bruised. The side of her face was badly skinned. She was picked up and carried to the residence of E. P. Goodrich and later taken home. She was not injured so she canot be about, but will undoubtedly be pretty sore some days. It was fortunate that in her fall she did not strike anything other than the ground for the speed at which she was going was such as to have otherwise endangered her life.
