No Sugar Importations. - A proclamation has been issued in England, under the new sugar convention act, which prohibits the importation of sugar from Russia, Denmark and Argentina.

Train Struck Their Buggy.--Michael O'Brien and James McMahon, each aged 30 years, were instantly killed by an Erie train near Girard, Ohio. The men were crossing the track in a buggy when struck.

Motorman Killed.- A League Island trolley car was struck by a locomotive on the Pennsylvania railroad on the Meadows, in the southern section of Philadelphia. James McGovern, the motorman, was killed and United States Marines Morris, Davis, Barratt and Jones were injured.

Cleveland Will Camp. - Former President Cleveland, who is a guest at the camp of Joseph Jefferson on Moss island, Lake Meddybemps, Me., has declared his intention of building a camp next season on one of the thirty-three little islands that dot this sheet of water.

Explosion In U. S. Arsenal. - An explosion Wednesday at the U. S. arsenal at Frankfort, a suburb of Philadelphia, caused a panic, in which four girls were severely but not seriously inured. Others were bruised and lacerated. The explosion occurred in the cartridge loading department and was caused by friction.
