Wahr's Store To Be Moved
George Wahr, bookseller on State street, is making all the preliminary arrangements for removal. As soon as these are complete he will vacate his present place of business, 310 State street, and occupy the old Hangsterfer block, two doors south. At present the Hangsterfer building is in a complete state of chaos, but will be thoroughly renovated and conveniently arranged before Mr. Wahr moves in.
J. C. Thorpe and family left Ann Arbor Saturday night on their way to Seattle, Washington, where Mr. Thorpe has accepted a position as professor of mechanical engineering in the University of Washington. For B year and a half Mr. Thorpe has been instructor in mechanical engineering in the University of Michigan, and for the past few weeks has been undecided between three different calls. Before going to Seattle, Mr. and Mrs. Thorpe will visit their parents at Aurora and Champaign, Ill. They will leave Champaign Sept 10 for their future home.
