Two more bills for divorce were filed yesterday. Lois Diehl, of the township of York, through her attorneys, Cavanaugh & Wedemeyer, asks for a divorce from her husband, Henry S. Diehl, to whom she was lawfully married at Whiteford Center, Monroe county, Jan. 25, 1874. She avers that they lived together until December, 1897. During this time four children were born to them, one of whom is still living. She alleges that her husband has been guilty of many acts of extreme cruelty and that he is a man of great austerity of temper and that he was accustomed while they lived together to violent sallies of passion. She charges that the husband forced her to work out by the week and to force her into a life of crime that he might reap financial advantage therefrom and that finally he deserted her and has done nothing for her support since, although able to work and support her. She therefore wants to be divorced from him.

The second bill filed yesterday was that of Elsie M. Carney, of this city, against Francis M. Carney, to whom she was married on Sept. 25, 1895, in Ohio. There are now two children, the offspring of this marriage. The wife alleges that the husband very soon after marriage developed habits of drunkenness and went upon frequent sprees, that he became cruel to her and struck her with sticks of wood and other things and charged her with infidelity falsely and finally, in July 1902 deserted her and has done nothing for her support since. She asks for a divorce and the custody of the children and to be permitted to resume her maiden name. She also asks alimony.
