Lloyd Diamond Found Guilty
Things are moving rather slowly in the circuit court. The jury in the Lloyd Diamond case returned a verdict, Tuesday afternoon, of guilty after deliberating for there hours. When the verdict was announced his sister, who has been in the city for the week, went into hysterics.
When the case of Edward Morey, charged with stealing a watch, was called it was discovered that Tom Moynahan, the complaining witness, was so intoxicated that he could not testify. Consequently the charge was changed to one of simple larceny and the prisoner pleading guilty was sentenced to the county jail for 30 days.
Moynahan was subsequently brought before Justice Gibson charged with being drunk and pleaded not guilty.
