Willis, Mich., Oct. 15. - Wm. J. Roberts, of Detroit, mail clerk running from Logansport, Ind., to St. Louis, spent one day last week with his parents.

H. S. Day and family have gone to Ortville to spent a week on the farm.

Miss Eva Comfort, granddaughter of John Wright, is on the sick list.

Wm. E. Ballard, while cutting corn for Chas. Gould, with his binder, had one of his fingers so badly crushed that amputation was necessary.

Wayne Johnson, the section foreman of the Wabash, and his men were called to Cone to load heavy timbers to go to Hamilton, Ind., to repair a bridge that went down a few days ago. 

The Washtenaw Telephone Co. are extending their line east of this place 2 1/2 miles. They talk of running the line to West Sumpter.

Mr. Pulver and wife, of Dundee, were visiting Bert Youngs last week.

Harvey Butler has moved to Detroit and will work for the Hammond-Standinsh Meat Co.

S. M. Bixby, of Saline, was in town last week looking for buckwheat. 

W. C. Barton, of Romulus, was here looking for carload of cider apples one day this week.

Mrs. Lydia Arbogast, of Holloway, is visiting her parents for a week.

Henry Taylor has been spending a few days in Britton on business.
