Ronald Butler, son of W.H. Butler, the real estate dealer, entertained, after the manner of royalty, twenty-five of his young friends Saturday afternoon at his home 520 E. Jefferson. Ronald is the son of his father so every boy had a good time, and the girls too, and even the attendant mamas who were present. The usual games, fun and delicious feasting was in order and also the unusual program of music and speaking pieces, which gave a dignity to the function that ll boy's parties don't have.

The following is taken from the Racine (Wis.) Times: "By far the most interesting concert ever held at Association hall, which was amply proved by the enthusiastic encores the colored singers received after each number.

There is something catching in the quaint but melodious plantation songs, when well delivered, something at once unique and captivating that completely captured the audience. The Slayton Jubilee Singers are actually immense, and should they ever visit this city again the hall would be packed to the doors, as all who attended last night are loud in their praise of the splendid program rendered."

The Slayton Jubilee Singers will open the Y.M.C.A. Star Course at Athens theatre on Thursday, Oct. 29. Season tickets are $1.00. Reserved seat season tickets $1.50. Board opens next Friday, Oct. 23, at Henne & Stanger's furniture store.
