Little Paving To Be Done Next Year

There seems to be little prospect for much paving in Ann Arbor next year. The residents of but few streets are talking of paving. As far as known no petitions have been circulated for paving any streets and it usually takes some time before a petition can be signed by a majority foot frontage on any street to work up the sentiment on that street to favor the project.

It may be that the only paving done next year will be the block on Fourth avenue in front of the court house. This will be paved if 132 feet of frontage on the east side petitions for it as the Board of Supervisors instructed their chairman to sign the petition as soon as that amount of foot frontage petitions for it.
