A Sharon Pioneer Passes Away
Manchester, Mich., Nov. 2. - William Bowers, for many years a highly respected citizen of Sharon township, died yesterday, after a long period of sickness, at the age of 84 years. He was the last of the original pioneer settlers of the "Sharon Plains." one of the finest farming sections of Washtenaw county. He possessed a gentle, Christian spirit, and was beloved by all. He is survived by a daughter, Allie G., who shared his home with him, Elmer E., of Sharon, and George, of Orange City, Iowa. He will be buried at Sharon Hill cemetery on Tuesday, at 1p.m.
