Cost Him $3.45 To Ride On Walk

Riding a wheel on the walk has been a custom honored in the breach. Mr. Stiles, a fresh dentist, now honors it in the observance. Friday while wheeling down N. University avenue on the sidewalk he was accosted by Officer Ball. Not knowing "Tip" he saluted in return and sped on, But he was soon made to understand he was to stop, and Mr. Ball's message was soon explained.

Young Stiles pleaded that he had a class, but Mr. Ball compelled a "bolt" and never let Mr. Stiles drop two feet behind him, all the way down town. The ordinance was read to him. He was fined the costs, as one who had not intentionally violated the law, and is now thinking of all the good times he could have had on $3.45.
