RESOLUTIONS OF WELCH POST G. A. R.

At the last meeting of Welch Post No. 137, G. A. R. the following resolutions were unanimously adopted:

Resolved, that in the death of our comrade, Charles B. Greene, Welch Post G. A. R., Department of Michigan, has host one of its most faithful and honored members and Past Post Commanders, whose record as a union soldier in the Civil War was patriotic, faithful and honorable, wherever duty called him.

Resolved, that as citizens we mourn the loss of one who possessed the highest and most useful qualities of good citizenship and we hold in the highest esteem his high and noble attainments as a scholar and teacher in our University.

Resolved, that as a token of our respect and sorrow for his loss, the charter and flag of our post be draped in mourning for 30 days.

Resolved, that a copy of these resolutions be transmitted to the family of our deceased comrade.
