THE CITY FATHERS HOLD SHORT SESSION
The council held short meeting Monday, passed the labor bills, authorized the issuing of about $3,000 in bonds for lateral sewers, authorized the payment on Dec. 1, of $2,000 principal and $600 interest on the main sewer bonds, and ordered the town pump on the corner of Broadway and Wall street repaired.
A petition was presented for the opening of Charles street, which recited that the right of way on Charles street has been closed by a railroad embankment and that there is now no outlet on this street except by driving over the Ann Arbor right of way close to the track, where there is not room for teams to pass and the passage is dangerous. The petitioners wanted another outlet provided from Charles street to Summit street.
