Regents Hold Regular Meeting
BUT LITTLE BUSINESS WAS TRANSACTED
Several Appointments Made and Degrees Conferred - Contagious Hospital Committee Appointed
At the meeting of the Regents of the University this morning, William H. Pettee presided in the place of Secretary Wade, during Mr. Wade's absence from the city. The following appointments were made:
John F. Shepard, assistant in psychology for the current year.
George L. Hamilton, Ph. D., instructor in French.
Albert E. Green, Ph. B., B. S., assistant professor in civil engineering.
Louis A. Barrock, dispensary clerk in the electro-therapeutical laboratory.
Cari J. Wiggers, assistant in physiology.
James G. Cummings, M. D., assistant in the Pasteur Institute.
Don B. Webster, office assistant in the engineering shops.
Mrs. J. M. Brown, matron in the Homeopathic hospital.
The degrees conferred are as follows: B. A.- Ethel W. B. Case, Rose V. Dilley; M. A.- Charles E. Cullen; Ph. D.- George H. Allen: LL B.- Samuel H. Davis, James A. Belford, John S. Stewart.
A committee was appointed of Regents Lawton, Carey and Hill to confer with a committee of county supervisors with reference to the proposed detention hospital for infectious diseases.
There was a gift of an album of photographs illustrating log handling in Michigan, presented to the University Library by J. D. Hawks, of Detroit.
