G. L. GORDON HAS WRITTEN FOR STRANGER'S OPERA

Harold Jarvis of Detroit, Will Be Leading Tenor, and Mrs. J. E. Kerr the Soprano

G. L. Gordon will stage Theo. Stanger's libretto, "The Crusaders," in February. Mr. Gordon has completed his opera which has held him in isolation part of the summer and is ready to announce to a public that has long been interested and curious, that he has procured the great Harold Jarvis of Detroit, who will be leading tenor in the part of Egbert, Mrs. J. E. Kerr is leading soprano and sings Mathilda. The bass role of the priest has not been desided upon, but Mr. Gordon is negotiating with a Cleveland man of much reputation. The minor parts will be announced later.

Mr. Renwick of the School of Music will have charge of the orchestra. The staging will be given up to professionals, and expense will not be considered in giving the most effective setting, scenery and costumes. Those who know Mr. Gordon anticipate great things for this first appearance of his opera.
