ANN ARBOR MET A BETTER TEAM
Ann Arbor met its Waterloo at Benton Harbor Saturday as indicated by the score of 42 to 0. Ann Arbor's team is made up of practically all new men, while Benton Harbor retains most of her players who tied Ann Arbor last year. Although the home team's line was weak, her end men were as good if not better than Benton Harbor's. Lathe and Cunningham, of Benton Harbor, were supposed to have been protested on account of their age, but it is suspicioned that both of these men helped to make the seven touchdowns. Two of these touchdowns were due to fumbles on the part of Ann Arbor, otherwise the complete defeat was due to sheer force of weight on the part of the opponents. About 1,400 people attended the game, so that it was a great financial benefit.
Next Thursday Benton Harbor will decide the state championship with Escanaba at Ferry Field. A special excursion train will run down from Benton Harbor. Admission will be 25c. This will be the last game on Fery Field this Year.
