Chelsea, Nov. 23.- Mrs. W. E. Depew, the drawing teacher of the Chelsea schools, was an Ann Arbor visitor Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. B. C. Whittaker, of Sylvan, were the guests of Ann Arbor friends Saturday.

J. P. Foster, of this place, who is building a large house for a gentleman near Munith, was in Ann Arbor Saturday and placed with Luick Bros. an order for the interior finish.

It is reported that the M. C. R. R. Co. is about to place on the retired list one of the section foremen and replace him with a man from Ypsilanti.

Everybody should attend the annual Thanksgiving supper given by the parish of St. Mary's church.

Fuler's orchestra is spending considerable time of late in rehearsals of new selections of music preparatory for their usual winter campaign of dancing parties.

Just now Chelsea is having its usual campaign of cut rates in the supply of meats. Keep it up, gentlemen, the people will heartily appreciate your efforts along that line, and hope that you will keep on the same track for the next year to come. 

Zack Chandler, of "Black Maria" fame reports that Cavanaugh lake is all frozen over and he and Chas. Tichenor, the lone fisherman, are about to set up the ice boats for the coming winter sports.

C. W. Maroney, one of Chelsea's progressive builders, was in Ann Arbor on Saturday on business connected with his building operations.

A new fraternal order konwn as the Royal Circle is about to be instituted hre.

There are several turkey raffles advertised to be pulled off at some of the liquid refreshments parlors of this place during the first days of this week.
