Baptist Church Thank Offering
At the home of Mrs. Paul Snauble, 446 S. Division street, over one hundred from the Baptist church and congregation gathered last Friday with their annual thank-offering and contributed a sum of over $50 which will be evenly divided between the Ladies' Home and Foreign Mission societies. The evening was a social affair of much interest and pleasant entertainment. The Euterpe trio furnished the music and Mrs. Nina Wilbur Bird recited in a charming manner, Mary Wilkin's little story, "An Object of Love." This was so highly appreciated that Mrs. Bird responded with another. Coffee and cake, salted peanuts and almonds were served in the dining room, Mrs. J Montgomery and Mrs. A Wilkinson assisting at the coffee urn. A pleasant evening was spent by the large company who were present.
