The National Horse Show.
Rowa of spectators, tier on tier,
Come to gaze with applause or sneer,
Eager eye and watchful ear.
For the lattest fashion is sure to appear
At the horse show.
Costumes rich and very dear
(Many a bill in their wake, I fear).
Brought together from far and near
To swell the wonderful pagent here
At the horse show.
Society, smiling, reserved, severe,
Humble plutocrat, haughty peer;
Well, this is a menagerie queer-
Lion, donkey, peacock, deer.
At the horse show
