----
Kansas City, Mo., Dec. 7.- (Special.)-- Fred Schneider, of Ann Arbor, Mich., came to Kansas City yesterday on the way to Hot Springs, Ark., and called at the police station to see Gilbert Snow, who is an old friend. Snow was not in and Schneider seated himself to wait. After a few moments he walked behind the desk and exclaimed with an oath "I want to blow my head off" at the same time reaching for the Sergeant's revolver. Sergt. Gillespie raised his arm to ward him off and the young man showed fight. Gillespie struggled with him but it was some time before he could overcome him. Schneider was removed to police headquarters. He will be given in charge of the humane agent.          LONGAN.

Fred Schneider is well known he as he formerly was in the employ of the Ann Arbor Milling Co. for a number of years and still has relatives residing here, his father, John Schneider, living at 809 Miller avenue. Schneider was evidently insane as insanity appears to be hereditary in the family, his father and one sister having been confined in a aslyum for some time and a n uncle being an inmate of a retreat at present. Young Schneider has been west for several years.
