POSTMASTER POND AGAIN UP-TO-DATE

WILL DELIVER CHRISTMAS MAIL WITH AUTOMOBILE

When the precedent of delivering Christmas mail by automobile was set two years ago, it was thought that it was a dangerous precedent from the fact that it might be a difficult one to follow, but Postmaster Pond succeeded in repeating the experiment last year, and has again secured an automobile for this year, and everything will be delivered again as usual, that can be delivered. This is an effort that will be appreciated by the city patrons of the office, because it will save them the trouble of going to the office and carrying their packages home. The rural carriers will also make their usual delivery on that day, thus accommodating the country patrons. The city carriers will not make a delivery on Christmas Day, but their windows will be open from 9 to 11 o'clock a. m. The automobile which will deliver all packages it can on that day is furnished by Staebler.
