Arthur Long Again In Trouble
ARTHUR LONG AGAIN IN TROUBLE
Arthur Long, a 13-year-old boy, was arrested Tuesday on the charge of simple larceny, Mack & Co. being complainants. Long was delivery boy for Mack & Co., and was detected in keeping money that he had collected from customers. The offense was embezzlement, but the boy is too young to be taken on that charge. He become involved in a similar difficulty last summer, but on recommendation of the agent of the State Board of Corrections and Charities he was released by Justice Doty on suspended sentence.
On request of the complaining witness, on the recommendation of the agent for charities and corrections and on motion of Prosecuting Attorney Duffy, Justice Gibson dismissed the case Tuesday aftemoon on the payment of $3 as costs. The boy was given a seeond chance for the sake of his widowed mother.
