CHURCHMEN.

The author of "Throw Out the Life Line," Rev. E. S. Ufford, has lately completed a tour around the world, supporting himself entirely by evangelistic work.

Bishop Henry Clay Morrison of the Methodist Episcopal Church South has accepted the invitation of the Methodists to make his home in New Orleans with his family.

Rev. John Sinclair, the eighteenth earl of Caithness, has just been installed pastor of the First Presbyterian church of Brookline, Mass. The earl as long as he lives will be entitled to the title, but a former earl willed the estate away.

The Rev. Richard S. Holmes, for sixteen years pastor of the Shadyside Presbyterian church, Pittsburg, one of the leading churches of the denomination in the city, has just resigned his pastorate, with the expectation of entering upon a business career.
