There was a bare quorum present vfonday evenin?, and the session did not ast mufth over fifteen minutes. The Board of Public Works made the 'ollowing recommendations: That name of tlie Plank road be chanred to North Main st., to city limit?. That W. Seventli tst. be changed to Jewett ave., it being a continuance of the same. That Pontiac st., running from Main st. to the rlver ridge be chnnged to Beakes st. that the name of MUI st., running from Broadway west to Washtenaw st. be clianged to Swiftst. ; that the name of Second st., oodIds from Felch st. to Madison st. be ihaoged to Ashley ave.; that the short st. running from Charles st. north to Chubb road be named Wildt st.; that the name Chubb Road be changed to Chubb t.; that the name of Fourth st. be changed to Fourth ave.; that the name of Pifth st. be changed to 5th ave. ; that the name of Brown st. In the 5th ward, and lic name of JClm st. in the lst ward, be iliiuied to snch ñames as the aldermen of eacli ward muy suggest. WhieM recimmendatloDS were icferred to Street Committee. City Attorney Kearney filed an opinión hat the new election law referred only to ;eneral elections and advlsed the autlioriies to bold the coming municipal election under the old law. Coinmittee on sewerage reported progress. Aid.
