Smnrthwalte, Feb. 28tli, In her 8l8t year. Mrs. Marriott was the WiÜOW of the late Joseph Marriott, and the motlibr of Mrs. J. H. AVebb ana Iis. ï. J. Smnrthwalte of Plttofleld, and Mrs. Dr. IL F. Thomas, of Allegan, Mich. Tlie funeral was held from the reeldence of Mr. Smurthwaite on Monday, md her remalna deposited in the fainily lot ln Forest llili Cemetery at Ann Arbor.
