Mr. Catherlne A. Powers dled at 8:15 p. m. yesterday, March 22, at the residfttico of her step riaugliter, Mrs. Floyd Williams, afier a week's lllness, diirlng whlch time lie was au object of warm solicitude and tenderest care. Mrs. Powers was boru In Olamorganshire, Whales, Maren 25th, 1818. When she was ten years of age her fatlier carne to América and Beltled lu Webster, Michigan. At the age of twelve years she went to live wlth au aunt In New Vork, where slie reraalned a number of years. At the age of thirty-slx she married Mr. A. L. Powers, father of Mrs. Floyd Williams, who dled two and one-half years flgo, since whlch time she has lived wlth her step'daughter in thls city. Mrs. Power un I led wlth the Jlethodlst church at the age of eighleen and was a consistent memberof thatchurch up to the time of her dealh, Durlns lier last illness she showed a patiënt aud Christlan resignation, beautilul to witness and in perfect harmony wlth her long Christlan life. She was conscious to the vcry enu, and mal end was peace. Many ju this city luid learued to love lier daring lier resldence here and wlll sincerely moarn the loss that is her galn. Funeral services wlll be held this evening at 8:30 o"clock from the resldence tf Mrs. Williams, conducted by Kev. C. R. Kice and Kev. II. Vrooman, after which the rematan wlll be taken tollarnburi?, Michigan, and laid beside those of her husband. Dr. J. K.
