The committee of transportation of the G. A II. of this State have arranged with the Michigan Central Railroad to carry by special train to the Boston National Encampment all meinbers of the G. A. H., W. R. C, Sons of Veterans, or veterans by whatever name tliey m:iy called, and any citizens who may desire to uvail themaelves of the advantages to be gained in golas with the Department Headquarters. Trains of the fi nest sleeping anü day coaches will leave Detroit August 9th, in foienoon, via. Mich. Central (Niágara Falls route), New York Central and Boston & Albany R.iilroads, stopping a few hours at the Falls, arriving at Boston enrly on the afteruoon of August lOtu. The fare, as decidcd upon by all roads will be one rate tor the round trip. Should any cut la rate oecur upon any iirstclass roads, the rate will be met over this route. By special arrangements the commiUce c:in furnish sleeping cr accomodations less than by any other road. There will be no crush or jam, for everybody is to be cared lor. Any one deslring information as to sleepers, or quarters in Boston, if going with the G. A. K, party, should address at once, C. V. K. Pond, Chairman Com. on Transportation, Coldvvater, Mich. As this is to be a through run of trains, under special supervisión of the Department of Michigan G. A. R., and with a special agent of the Mich. Central Itoad to accompany and look after the welfare of the party, it will undoubtedly be the mostdelirable route to take to the Boston National Encampment.
