Lima, September 3, 1890. The animal meeting of the Washtenaw (Jounty Pioneer Society was held In NoitiiiKiu 's grove, townslilp of Liinn, at 11 o'clock u. m. The meetltig was culled to order liy the President, E. A. Nordman. The inmutes of the last animal meeting were read and approved. A committee was appoiated to present ñames foi' i'lli'Ti s for the ensuing year and rtcoinmend their elcction by the society. The committee consisting of J. Q. A. Sessions, J. W. Winr, Daniel Hiscock, Nalhan Suttou and C. II. Wines. C. H. Ilichmond, treasurer of the soci.ety, presenled his report whlch showed the society f ree from debt and balance on hand of $5.70, which was increased by payment of annuiil dues to $15. After dinner the coramittee presented the following report for ofBcers for the ensuing year and recommended their elecllon : President- Cbns. S. Gregory, Oexter. Secretary- J. i. A. The report of the committee was accepted and adopted and the ollioers as rccomtneiided A'ere declared elected. On motion the constltution and by-lawi were amended by an unaniruous vote so as to próvido Unit hereafter the imnua meeting for election of orh;ers and th transaction of other general business o the society shall be held on the SlM Weduesday of June of each year. The Hou. William Ball tlieu deliverec an excellent address on the life of th pioneerá compared with the present time Mra. Bowen, of Sylvan. w.is tnvited t deliver an address at the next annua meeting. The Necrologlst's report of the death of the old settlers du ring the past yea was then read by Mr. Pnidlay and con tained 79 names. Mr. Gregory, the president elected accepted the position to which he hac been elected and invited the society t meet at Dexter at the next annual meet ing in June. The invitutton was unaniinously ac ccptiMl. A vote of thanks was tenderee to .Mr. Bi 11 for his able addrusa and als to Mr. Nordman for entertaining th society in so hospitable a m inner on hl farm. The societv then adiourned.
