Welch Post, Anx Arbor, Mich.,) December 5th, 1890. f Whereas, Death has again entered our rapidly diminishing ranks, and thereby removed, after long but patiënt ilfering, our late comrade in arms, olin G. Johnson, therefore Resolved, That in the death of Comide Johnson, Welch Post recognizes ie loss of an earnest, influential and iluable meuiber, and one who as soldier, citizen and friend has left a record in mauy waya worthy of admiration apd imitatiiin bv all. Resolved, That Welch Post extends to lus laitliful and dovoted wife, the heartfelt sympathy ot' the Post, in this lier honr of deepest affliction. liesolred, That these resolutions be entered by the adjutant upon the minutes of the Post and that a copy be presented to his wife, and tliat the'saine be publislieu in the city papers. PlSTORIOL'S. ) The Board of Supervisors met Monday to approve the bonds of the various county officers and transact such other business as may present itself . We are pleased to note an inclination on the part of this body to establish a stone yard at the jail for the benefit of the short term prisoners and tramps who are continually clammoring for food and lodgings. It would give them an opportunity to earn their board.
