On Priday evening last about 800 or 900 people assembled at the rink on invitation of the Arbor Tent Knights of the Maccabees, to witness the installation of the new officers of the tent and to attend a banquet and supper. At about 8 : 30 o'clock Dr. W. f. Breakey, who was master of ceremonies for the evening, called the assemblage to order, aud in a few very appropriate remarks introduced Past Great Commander Bassett, of Detroit, who proceeded to install the ollicers of the tent. After which ceremony lie stepped forward and calling Past Commander Paris Banfield, of Arbor Tent, to the stage presented hĂșn witli a beautiful Past Commander's jewel, which was accepted in a few worda full of kindly feeling for the remembrance. Miss Emma Banfield then gave a reading "Hagar in the Wilderness," Miss Hulburt recited a deacription of the boy of the house taking care of the baby, in a manner that ehcited the warmest applause, and Mr. Hallet gave a parody on the Raven. Speeches were then made by i'ast Great Commander Bassen and Lieut. Great Commander Case, of Detroit, setting fortli the advantages of the order. The floor was then cleared and the dancers commenced tripping their I to the of Otto'a band, and the feasters repaired to the heavily laden tables in the north end of the hall.
