BiitMiXGiiAM, Ala., Feh. 3.- Four negroes ere shot dead and five others severely wounded, three of them perhaps fatally. at Cari. mi llill mines in Walker COUUty, fity miles west of tbis city, last night. Tbe ouly offense of the dead and wouncled negroes, so far as is known, is that they took the places of white miners during the strike, an 1 when the strike was settled the eompany would not discharge them. The negroes were surrounded while aateep in tbeir caliin and shot down before they had an opportuuity to escape or offer resistance. White miners are suspected of the crime, but there seems to be no evidence against anyono. as at last accounts no arrests had been made. It Ís belleved anotber bloody conflict between white and colored minera wül tako place.
