Prof. M. E. Cooley and wife were in Detroit Thursday. E. F. Mills left for New York for a ten days' business trip, Monday. Miss Minnie Faxon, of Owosso, is visiting Miss Emma Warren, on Volland st. Chas. H. Richmond was well enough last Saturday to make a trip to Detroit. Senator Stevens of Iron Mountain, was in the city Friday, the guest of J. D. Ryan. Joseph Hower, of Sandusky, Ohio, was the guest of John R. Miner Saturday. Geo. W. Millen spent Sunday in Concord, where his wife is visiting her family. Chas. B. Warren, managing editor of the Inlander, was in Detroit Thursday on business. Mr. and Mrs. Hill, of Detroit, were the guests of their danghter Mrs. E. F. Mills, over Sunday. Miss Kate Jacobs is to sail to-day on the North Germán Lloyd steainer Spree, from Bremen, for home. Mr. and Mrs. Junius E. Beal and Mr. F. D. Travis returned from their trip to the Bermudas last Monday. Lew H. Clements went to Brandon, Ont., last Friday, on business íor the Allmendinger Piano & Organ Co. Col. C. V. R. Pond, formerly cornmander of the State G. A. R., was the guest of Col H. S. Dean over Sunday. John V. Sheehan attended a reception given the Hon. Daniel Dougherty, of New York, at Detroit last Saturday evening. John Koch, of the firm of Koch & lenne, went to Chicago Monday, and will return via Grand Rapids in about a week or so. Mrs. Dr. D. A. McLachlan leaves for Chicago Saturday and from there goes o California to visit friends at Los Angeles and San Diego until about June 1.
