The Sixth Animal Banquet of the Michigan Club wül introduce a large number of brilliant speakers new to this state. Among thein will be ex-first Assistant Postmaster General Clarkson ; Hon. Frederick T. Greenhage, of Massachusetts, one of the greatest orators of the ölstCongress, Hon. Jno. S. Runnells, who delivered the superb oration at the dedication of Chicago's niugniflcent auditorium; and Hon. John R. Lynch, the eloquent colored orator who is Fourth Auditor of the Treasury. In additionto this list of notables who will positively be in attendance, j tions have also been extended to Senator Ingalls; Gen. Xathan Goff; Hon. Kobt. P. Porter, superintendent of the National census; ex-Gov. J. B. Foraker and ex-Gov. Chas. Foster, of Ohio ; ex-Gov. R. J. Oglesby, of Illinois ; Patriek Ford, editor of the Irish World ; John S.Wise, the eloquent young Southern ex-Cougressman ; Senator Spooner, of Wisconsin; and Gen. Wui. Mahone, of Virginia, and it is confidently expected that some of thein will be present and respond to toasts. The talented and eloquent speaker, Hon. Alfred Bussel!, of Detroit, will be the toastmaater. and the young Kepublicans of .Michigan receive a deserved compliment in the selection of John Pattón, Jr., of Grand Rapids, to giye the address of welcome. Rev. Washington Gardner will pronounce the invocation. The banquet will be given at the Detroit Kink, Monday evening, Foh. 83d. Attendance at the bauquet is limited tn the members of the Club. The price of I tickets is $2 each. A ineuibership in the Club costs $." a year, and all Republicana are eligiblc The Michigan railroads will niake the following rates, if applied for earlv : parties from any given point, 10 to 50 people, 2 cents per mile each way; 50 or more, } cents per mile each way, for the round trip ticket. Parties must go at one time on above rates, limit of return within live days. For smaller parties, regular round trip rates, which are 10 per cent. discount from regular rates. The annual election of the Club takes place on the 23d also. The Club keeps open house on that day, and members are especially invited to cali. The pleasaut and commodious club house is 92 West Fort street, Detroit, and at 3 o'clock the day of the banquet, the notable guests will be given au informal reception there. The present onicers of the Club are Horace Hitchcock, President; Thomas Berry, vice-President ; Fred B. Harper, Treanurer, and Fred E. Farnsworth, Secretary.
