They live well, but live on little; they seek social pleasure, but only in an economical way, and they a i-o the best farmers, the most skillful iirtisans and the most successful mamifacturera, as an entire nation, the world has ever known. They have been but a few yenrs out of a disastrous war. and yet they are nearer out of debt and have more wealth than the same number oí people in any otlier section of the earth.
