On Friday evening, March 13, the Chorus will make its flrst appearance this season, rendering "Christoforus," by Joseph Rheinberger, being assisted by Miss Goodman and an orchestra. The Union has been practicing all this year on the chorus, and expect to give the public something very fine. On Thursday evening, March 5, the University Dramatic Club, University Glee Club, and the University Banjo Club, assisted by the Guitar and' Mandolin Quartettes, Mr. 8. P. Clark, Ventriloquist, and the Chequamegon orchestra, will give one grand entertainment at University hall, the proceedsto goto the gym. fund. With Buch an aggregation of talent and stars, the audience ought to be well entertained, certainly. Of Henry C. Dane, the traveler, who is to speak in University Hall on Friday evening, March títh, "the Cineinuati Comrnercial-Gazette says : "The Unity Club has been most happy In securing for its initial Sunday lecture a man of Major Henry C, Daue's rare ability. Major Dane also possesses rare dramatic qualities in hts delivery and this was particularly noticeable in his lecture yesterday afternoon. The lecture was fvill of absorbing interest aud gave ampie scope to Major Dane's ability as a lecture r. On Thursday and Friday evenings, March 5th and 6th, there is to be an entertaiment given at the Grand Opera House, that will appeal to the public for their quarters and their presence. It is the production of the play known as "The Soldier of the Union," under the auspices of J. T. Jacobs' Camp, Sons of Veterans. The following is the cast of characters : George Waterman F. Leitch will give an address in the Congregational church next Sunday evening, March 8th, at 7:30, upon life and mission work in India. Stereopticon views of the various localities, temples, prisons, etc., referred to, will be given. This address is highly recommended by those who have listened to it. As no admission fee will be charged, there sliould be a large audience.
