E ach coinmittee is doing all that can be done to make the loan i line art exhibition in the best sense of the word. Al the rightof the entrance ia the n.oK.u. BOOM. (Jnder the supervisión of Mr. Eandall. This room is being draped in canopy ionn with soft draperiesof apple green, and with its palms, its ferns, its potted plants, and its wealth of lovely cut flowers itwill be averitable bowerof beauty. This charming retreat will be presided over by young ladies in flower costumes. Opening out of the floral room is THE GERMÁN Bi This room will be draped in colore, and will con tai n much antique Gorman furniture, many fine Germán carvings, a collection of ancient Germán spinning wheels, and many other articles of interest diatinctively Germán. Our Germaii friends and students cannot fail to pass a delightful hour here. Coinmunicatingwith the Germán room is the COLONIAL ROOM. In this room the furniture, nearly two hundred years old, will be arranged to represent two rooms of "ye good old colony times." Our dealing friends will be interested in the very ancient bedstead, the magnificent chest of drawers and the curiously wrought writiug desk, and all will be especially interested in the 1 í t of china that catne over on the Mayflower. At the rear of the building are tlie two rooms adjoining each other and municating with tlio colonial room. These rooms constitute the iniicli talked 01 akt qaujsry. The lus are being decorated with hangings of chocolate-brown, the Windows darkened, and light furnished by electricity. A large and choice collection of pictnres wil] be placed here. This collection will eomprise both oil and water color pictures, and will represent the best work of the best masters as well as iiKinv thousands of dollars of monev value. One ofthe manyother desirable features of the art loan is the EVENINQ ENTERTAINMEXTS, which have been arranged by a competent cotnmittee. Xext Saturday eveninsjT, the evening of the opening day, a a concert will le given ander the direction of Prof . Hahn, of the Detroit Couservatory of Music. A treat may be expected. The loan will open May Hith and continue until the 30th, and a delightful entertainment has been provided for each of the intervenins eyenings. Prof. Sehremser and Prof. Eblerof the Detroit Y. M. t'. A. gymnasium, Prof. Pease of Ypsilanti, Prof. Trueblood, U. of M., and others will assist iu these entertainments. Aduiission 25 cents.
