Ed. Courier:- Rev. f?. T. Morris, conductor, assisted by Supt. J. L. Skinner, of Lapeer, and ('ommissioner M. J. Cavanaugh, of Anti Arbor, are holding a very successful etate Instituto at Dextor. The fir.st day thero werf - members, but at the end of the first week, about 70 members congregatetl in the pretty high school building at Dexter. This institute, unlike those of former times, is conducted as a scihool, Rev. Morris liearinjï recitationa in grammar and language, while Messers ('avanaugli and Skiainer conduct classes in Civil Government, History, Geo'aphy and Arithmetic. It is a fine opportunity for old teachers as well as iinv, to gain knlormatlon. During the coming two weeks tbere w ill be evening lectures by tlie best speakers that can be Becured. The pleasant, bright faces congregrated there, and rapid increase in numbers show for themselves that the Institute is a grand success. Teachers and friends in this county should glve thein a cali.
