By a tete-a-tete supper, or a lot of the girls to eat ice-cream in the middln of the day. By a box of candy or ten postage stamps. By a wedding or an engagement. Thafs what they like best. Mme. Schlrmer-MapteeOn, the American singer, who has been some years ago the subject oí such sensational stories, has just arrived on the Arizona. She was accompanled by her husband Colonel Henry Mapleson, fliiom she marrifd a short time ago in London. The celebrated singer ia a natve of Boston and went abroad almoet ten yoars ago.
