tons is to be transferred froin HonolulĂș to the public park in San Francisco. In a trench around the tree, which etood in a grove near HonolulĂș, a massive box was built to enclose the roots. Above the box was a frame that had Jackscrews for Uiting the entire maas. After the tree had been raised it was canted and its long leaves were wrapped together and tied. The nuts were wrapped in soft sacking. By hydraulic power the mass was raised on a truck that carrled it to the beach where it awaits shipment. We are requested to ask the gentlemen of the students society that occupied the I. O. O. F. hall, during the evening of Oct. 31st, for the return of the two keys belonging thereto.
