But to the surprise of every ane, Simpson made liis way through an aisle down to one of the front eeats. He leaiied over and took the page by tlie ear. The youngster sat in one of th choicest eeats unfler the speaker's eye, and had even taeked a card on the desk, hearing the name of a member whoae name was not yet di-awn. Simpson hauled the page omt of the seat, tore the card from the desk and turning to the surprised members. remarked: "Any nian who thinks the farmers' alliance is going ito be shoved to the rear, makes a big místate."
