Minutes of previous meeting apaproved. To the Board of Public Works: The Common Council has referred the following resolution to your body for action. Whereas, A system oí sewerage for the city, in the opinión of the Council has become a necessity and for sanitarv reasons ís a necessary public improvement, therefore, Resolved, That it is hereby declared tobe the purpose of the Council, the people voting to raise the necessary money by tax therefor to cause a suitable system of sewers for the city to be constructed without 1UCWLVÜ.DFUKTHER, That the SUbject matter ot such sevverage system along with the last report oí the com mittee on seweríige, be and the same is hereby referred to the Board of Public Works, with instructions to report and advlse the Council at an adiourned meeting tobe held on Mondav the "5 th instant, what in tlieir opinión would be the most suitable plan therefor and submit speciflcations thereof; also the Knul, qiiahly and amount of material necessary tor, and the probable cost of the construction of a main sewer tor such proposed sewerage system.
