Is the largest and most prominent hotel in the city, and is een. trally located on the corner of East Hu ron and Fourth avenue. The building occupied is a substnntial fonr story brick fronting 87feet on Iíuron street and 125 on Fourth avenue. The lower íloor s occupied by tlie office, sample and din ing room, etc, while on the second floor may j be fonnd the ladies' and gents' 1 lors, which are furnished in au i eleirant manner. There are also eighteen sleepinir apartmentsj which are fitted up with every convenience for the comfort and accomodation of guests. The house is also heated throughoot with steam, and lighted with gas and electricity, while cali bells are located in office. The dining apartment is well lighted and ventilated and ampie capacity is provided for seatinj; sixty guests, while the i'are is equal t.o that of any first . class hotel in the country. The pro];rietor of the aboye iM. M. Nowlin, who luis had 'long experience in the hotel busim and is well known to the commercial tourist. Her courteous and obliging treatment of a!l patrons together with the excellent accom modations provided have secured for this house a large patronage f'rom business men, travelers, and tourists trom all parts of the couni rv.
